I have configured a router with VLAN and it is working fine so far. For my Tuya room sensors, I have now created my own VLAN11, which connects to the AP (2.4 GHz) via two switches. IP4, IP6, DHCP and DNS are all working in VLAN11. Clients in VLAN11 have an internet connection.
When I try to pair the Tuya sensors, they can connect to the Wi-Fi but do not register in the Tuya cloud.
When I connect the same sensors to a Mikrotik hAP with a standard, out-of-the-box configuration, everything works fine.
I probably haven't configured my router correctly, but I don't know where to look or what to check.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
First of all have you tried yourself to connect to the iot ssid vlan and see if you can get out to the internet ?
And when dealing with some apps in phone, you shuold also take a look at what ip address is being exposed to the device. If that is your public ip, you should look at what hairpin nat is.
And some iot devices uses mDns function that uses broadcasts to inform the another devices where is at. And broadcasts don't travels between some nets.
