registered to other device in network

I am trying to find out what the message disconnected, registered to other device in network means?

Thanks

It means exactly what it says. The client disconnected from one device, and it connected to another one.

How did the first Mikrotik know? Did Mikrotik start to implement some “handover intelligence” like UniFi or Aerohive (because there is no CAPWAP controller …yet)?

The client sends a message to the AP stating that it is finished and is connecting to a new device. I get this message, when a client roams from one AP to another, under the same SSID but different channel. It is perfectly normal.

Hmm, there has to be some MikroTik magic in this after all. If my phone roams to another MikroTik AP “registered to other device in network” is logged. If it roams to a non-MikroTik AP “device has disconnected” is logged. Does anyone know the mechanism used?

have You foud something ?
