I was curious if it was possible to have something like an RB1100 be released with say an AM3+ socket or a 1155/1150 socket? Then with RAM slots and a CF port/SATA port.
Basically, if it was possible to have Mikrotik release a motherboard with the ports attached to the PCIe bus lanes…I’m sure they’d sell pretty well.
That way say someone needs a more customized solution…they can go with a motherboard/routerboard from Mikrotik…buy a routerboard case, pop their own CPU/RAM/HDD, and off they go.
