Remote access via hAP ac Lite Internet Port.

Hi,
I have the following network set up:

Internet connection terminated on a Fritzbox Router, DHCP to users on 192.168.178.0/24 subnet.
Two LHG2 set up as a bridge and at the far side connected to a “hAP ac Lite”.

The “hAP ac Lite” internet port connects to a LHG2 ether1 port and receives DHCP on the 192.168.178.0/24 subnet.

The “hAP ac Lite” then acts as a DHCP server for it’s clients on the 192.168.88.0/24 subnet.

Internet<->FritzBox<192.168.178.0/24><------------bridge---------><192.168.178.0/24><-------192.168.88.0/24----->

It all works perfectly except I cannot log onto the “hAP ac Lite” while on the 192.168.178.0/24 subnet even though I can ping both the “hAP ac Lite” IP addresses.
Winbox works fine to both IP addresses while I’m on the 192.168.88.0/24 subnet however.

Is there anything that needs to be enabled/disabled on the “hAP ac Lite” to get this to work?

Thanks,

Josey

hAP ac lite considers 192.168.178.0/24 as WAN and winbox is, by default, blocked from wan because it is extremely dangerous to open it to the evil internet.

You’ll have to study firewall on hAP ac lite, understand it and only then adjust it according to your needs.

Thanks for the advice :slight_smile:
