Hello everyone,
I have installed version 4.5 onto an x86 box and would like some advise on how to access my canopy access point connected to the private lan nic of my routeros I box. I have a box running server 2003 which is in turn running nat32 to load balance a T-1 and a DSL connection. The private nic of the nat32 box is connected to the WAN nic of the routeros box. The LAN nic of the routeros box is then connected to the canopy access point. I can remote into the server/nat32 box using remote desktop. I can then use Winbox on the server to access/configure the routeros box, but I can’t pass through the routeros box to acccess the access point. I realize I am probably blocking myself because I have installed a basic firewall script and the routeros box is dropping the packets because the private side has not requested anything, but I’m sure there’s a way around this. I have thought about using 1:1 mapping, but all the info on this assumes you are mapping a public address to a private address. If I were to use that option I would need to 1:1 map through the nat32 server (don’t even know if nat32 has that option) and then 1:1 map through the routeros box, but there’s got to be a better way. I can remote in to 2 of the 3 boxes, just need help getting to the 3rd. Any ideas?
