I have been trying to get remote logging working for quite a while and I just can’t seem to figure it out.
Any suggestions? Router OS Versions 2.9 through 3.24
/system logging action set remote bsd-syslog=yes name=remote remote=:514 src-address=0.0.0.0 syslog-facility=syslog syslog-severity=auto target=remote
/system logging add action=remote disabled=no prefix= topics=debug
I can receive remote syslog messages from other servers on our network, but not from the routerboards.
Server is a linux box with syslogd listening on udp 514.
