Remote Management in PCC Load Balancing

Hi Experts,

I have problem accessing a PCC load balancing routerboard through winbox or webfig remotely. The winbox always stays at “Downloading Plugin…”. I have 8291 and 80 configured in the Input firewall. What is the proper way of configuring remote management in load balancing?

By the way, I have PPTP setup as well for remote management.

If you have set all correctly, load balancing work for routed (forward) traffic, not the input/output chain incoming/outcoming directly on the routerboard.

Try to disable all firewall filter rule and any nat rule about 8291 port.

Try to connect (outside the network of the routerboard) using both Public IP address.

If you can not connect outside router network, check if winbox service are enabled and not strict (permit 0.0.0.0/0 range ip address)

Do you mean I need to configure port 8291 winbox in Firewall Mangle rule as well instead of Firewall Filter Input rule for remote management? How do I go about doing it?

There’s no Public IP addresses in this case because all 3 load balance connections are 3G/4G. Hence, PPTP is configured to access routerboards remotely.
