My ISP currently uses these MikroTik boxes. Is it possible for them to set up my house with an external IP Address so I can use my router for remote management? Currently I have a LAN IP address coming into my house. 10...*** When I search at what is my ip address it brings up a 208...***
They will not give me admin rights to this MikroTik.
Ha-ha! I drank enough beer for all of us lastnight! Beer shits all morning! This is actually my parents house which is 60 miles from my house.
I need a router because they need wireless. I also hate traveling 60 miles to fix some small issue they seem to have daily! I need to get in remotely. This would save me a crap load of money and time. Is there anything I can tell them that would help figure out this problem? I am assuming they need to bridge something right? The DHCP Server address and the Default Gateway have the same IP so I am assuming that router needs to be bridged? Am I right? or could I be way off base here?
