Remove all packages and reinstall

Hi,

How do I go about completely uninstalling all the packages and installing the required? On my router the routing and advanced-tools individual packages were installed by accident. As it stand now, the individual packages cannot be uninstalled and neither the bundled or individual routing and advanced-tools packages can be enabled. I have tried various orders of enabling, disabling and uninstalling but no luck.

Try downgrading to an older version by manually uploading only the packages you want.
After uploading you hit the ‘downgrade’ button on the Systems > Packages window

It should downgrade and remove all other packages.

After that, you can then use System > Packages > Check for updates to upgrade to the latest version.

Netinstall will be your friend here

For some reason I am not able to downgrade. The factory version is 6.38.5 but I am not able to downgrade manually to v.6.39 or 6.40.8. After reboot, all the packages are exactly the same version.

I will try the Netinstall route next.

Some devices do not support older versions. Check what you have in resources menu

[admin@MT] /system resource> print
uptime: 1w1d5m19s
version: 6.43rc32 (testing)
build-time: Jun/19/2018 07:07:02
factory-software: 6.40.5
free-memory: 80.4MiB

Netinstall did the trick. Thanks for the help!
