remove ASCII logo with branding package

Hi,

I want to remove the ASCII logo that I see when I ssh into router. Don’t mind the the company/manual url.
1.
I made a branding package where I do not fill any of the fields (only router name), leave everything else blank, do not change anything else (default configuration, webfig login,…).
If I install this it will not touch anything else in default configuration if I do a reset, right?
Everything will look/behave the same minus ascii logo, company/manual url, which wont appear anymore on ssh, right?

  1. to install the package only a restart is required, no reset ?

    Thanks

PS. too bad there is no simple option to turn off ASCII logo on ssh, company/manual url can still be shown, but that big ascii logo is trashing any mobile shell I tried (termux, juicessh, termius, connect bot).

I played with it once but that should basically be it.
Upload and reboot.

PS the net result when restarting is also a reset. So why ask for the difference ?
Anyhow, you need to reboot. Not a simple reset.

when I restart the router, there is no reset, my router configuration stays the same.

so when I’ll restart the router having mikrotik.dpk in /file
it will also reset the configuration, right?
I’ll need to import a previously exported configuration.

there is nothing like this specified in the branding help

Maybe semantics but reset config is not the same as reset.
They are 2 different things.

I can reset or reboot my routers a gazillion times, no config will be lost.
I can reset with cleaning config and then that’s that. No config anymore.

To answer your concern:

You are correct. It’s not specified.
But I seem to recall it kept config… would have to test again to be sure.

yes, the config remained the same.

Thanks
