yes, it is capable to transfer full 10Gbps over SFP+ links, It should be perfect for lan-party use.
Regarding compatibility with Intel X520-DA2 it has to be specifically checked.

place that intel module in intel card, on the other end use our module as there are some vendor lockins at play from Intel side.
