I just bought the 751G RouterBoard. When I access the RouterBoard from WinBox it asks me if I want to Remove the default Config, I click the remove button accordingly because I want to config the router myself.
After I remove the default Config, I can’t access the router anymore all the LAN Ports are disabled.
If I use the default config, 3G Modem connects but I can’t access the net wirelessly or via the LAN Ports.
Any help will be appreciated.
Did you set up masquerading? That is required.
I went to IP->Firewall->NAT then added a second entry (srcnat, action=masquerade) i even filled in dst address=0.0.0.0/24 (my actual ip was used not just 0).
Not sure if there is some funny with the default configuration used. It sets up a bridge with wlan and ether2.
Ether2 is set as a master and ethernet ports 3-5 are slaves of port 2.
If i reset the router then via WinBox click the Remove Default Configuration Button then I loose all access to the router, wlan included.
So I figured it out…I had the “Use Peer DNS” unchecked and once I checked it and added masquerading to Firewall->NAT everything worked.
