Hello guys, first time ever to create a post and ask here as I can’t figure out the solution after trying for a long time.
Is it possible to remove the default bridge in the router?
I read some posts suggesting I have to change the settings involving the bridge before disabling/removing it.
Is there any command/tools to find which settings I have to deal with?
I think I’ve missed out something, as all internet connections are unusable after I change DHCP server interface and disable the bridge and ports.
How should I configure the master port if I would like to remove the default bridge, and have every pc act as an independent LAN?
Once I’ve disabled the bridge, I am disconnected from the router and can no longer access it.
However, whenever I try to set other interface as master-port, it will prompt out a message, stating that my interface is in bridge.
Thanks for your help.
If you want different IP segments on each ether interface, master-port setting is not needed.
If master-port setting is to be configured, disabling a port assignment to a bridge is not enough.
You should delete the specific ether port from the list of port assignments of the bridge.
What are your exact needs. Tell us and we can give you a decent advise.
You need to set master port to none on each interface for they can act as independent interface! Then if you don’t want that the ports could communicate you need to delete the routes!
