I’m being plagued by email notifications that don’t seem to relate to an outage.
They arrive in batches of 2 or 3 exactly an hour apart.
Only an Up, never a down or unstable (also configured).
example:
: Friday, 27 January 2012 6:15 p.m.
To: Alerts
Service ups_battery_status on UPS 2 is now up (ok)
Sent: Friday, 27 January 2012 7:15 p.m.
To: Alerts
Service ups_battery_status on UPS 2 is now up (ok)
There is nothing in the device outages, but does show poll times on the graph of just under 2 seconds.
The Map probe timeout is set at 5 sec.
It affects devices on different subnets, and I have installed a second dude on the worst subnet to see if that helped, but it didn’t seem to.
Anyone have suggestions ?
This is becoming a pain since the quantity of alerts has meant the odd important ones are buried in a dozen false ones. ![]()
