Repeater ! Please Help if you can..

Hello everyone, well I’ve setup a wireless network with Mikrotik as server and using Omni 15db antenna on top, with that I’m covering 1 km range in circle, now i want to extend my range for that I’m trying to setup repeater, i tried setting up repeater by using TP-link 5110 AP with Omni antenna But it didn’t work even when i configure it on repeater mode, universal repeater, and multi bridge but all the time problem were the same, that it was connecting to my base as AP but wasn’t broadcasting.

My question, Is it happening that it is receiving signal and not broadcasting because I’m using different company equipment (my base have Mikrotik Server with Repotec Omni 15 db Antenna on top and for Repeater I’m Using Tp-Link 5110 Ap and Tp-link Omni 15 db antenna.

Or

Do I have to use 2 antenna’s and AP , so one can receive and then other can broadcast.

Or

I’m doing something wrong, kindly help me with this if you have a solution kindly let me know I’ll really appreciate it.

Indeed, that is, it is best to use all the same access points. Remember, a repeater means half speed.
There is only one antenna per AP needed

For repeater to function properly, the SSID, Band and Frequency of both Access Points must be the same. Repeaters rely of WDS; but WDS is a hack not a standardized Protocol. Sometimes, this introduces compatibility issues when using products from different vendors. For this reason, it is better to use Access Points from the same manufacturer.
