i would like to extend the range of my WLAN but the “extending” WLAN-AP should advertise a different SSID than the WDS link.
Is that possible?
Yes. It should be configured in client-bridge mode on existing SSID and then either another radio (if your RB has two radios) or virtual AP (on same radio) in ap-bridge mode.
