replace nand with chip from flashdisk, will it work ?

hi there,

i have a need of dude to monitor our network 30 days x 24 hours / month but seems the available RB on the market can not meet our requirements; very small space on nand.

let say i want to use RB750, if i replace the nand with the chip from flashdisk (4 or 8GB), do netinstall and add dude, will it work ?

TIA

Paul

First of all, Dude is currently not supported on RouterOS, the packages don’t work in RouterOS v6

As to your question, no, replacing the NAND will break RouterOS licensing and your warranty :frowning:

dear normis,

i suppose to use ROS v4.17 or v5.26.
they are support dude.npk, aren’t they ?

i do not mind about loosing the warranty and the license
the RB750 itself already more than 3 years, so it’s out of warranty.
thus i have plenty stock of L4 license at my mikrotik account.

basically, will it work with the replacement chip from flashdisk ?

Paul

It could work, but I cant guarantee it. You can experiment

ok tq for your confirmation

i will let you know the result when I done it.
