Replaced Mikrotik and change MAC for cablemodem

Hi, we have replaced an old RB450G with a new RB3011UIAS-RM.

We are using a Ono / Docsis cablemodem and get external FIXED IP Address by DHCP.

On new RB3011 we have added a DHCP Client on Eth2 interface (same number as on old Mikrotik and same config) and get an IP address different from ours.

We have config our old Eth2 MAC address on new Mikrotik with the command

/interface ethernet set eth2_Ono mac-address=D4:CA:6D:1B:xx:xx

And config DHCP Client as on our old Mikrotik, but our cablemodem never give us a IP Address (Searching …) . Winbox shows correctly new MAC Address on Interface Window.

It’s needed a reboot? Missing command??

Thanks.

Power everything off for > 10 minutes, then power on.

Failing that, call Ono as their system may have blacklisted your line in DHCP, not uncommon on Fixed IP lines.
