Replacing current router

I’ve been tasked with replacing a router that we don’t control.

As per attached diagram:

  • The router sits between ISP and multiple WAN class Cs
  • The devices on the Class Cs use the router as gateway

I realize this should be straightforward, however I don’t have Mikrotik experience so
I’d like to get it right the first time as when I do this it affects 1000+ people.

Would like to know the steps to accomplish this.

This will most likely be on a CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+

Each situation is different. Nobody will say exact steps, like do A, B, C, …
If you have not enough experience - better to hire certified MT specialist near you, which can do the job and explains-teach you for the same :slight_smile:

This is not an difficult job! But if you don’t have any experience! Then you can hire and Mikrotik consultant form List https://mikrotik.com/consultants to come on site or you can hire one to help with configuration from remote (more cheap i thing) and to explain what to do on-site just for physical replace!
