We have 47 CCR routers for our clients and we need to make some time based traffic reports.Currently we have Cacti but we want to have more visuals and customization. We were thinking of prometheus/influxdb with graphana with a dedicated hardware running on docker.
Any pointer towards a right direction will be of help.

I have used PRTG for latency, cpu, traffic, alerts and notifs and as well as live maps (for dashboards).
I utilized the 500 sensor limit very recently, and was thinking to switch to NETXMS, but team and me could not make the switch 
had to upgrade to 1000 sensors.
Although, I am not sure if your exact requirement are simple enough or complex as for the tool you choose.
Prometheus+influxdb+graphana is probably the best choise, where you can make aggregates by day/hour etc.
Observium presents very nice looking traffic graphs, but lacks in the reporting.
I will suggest Observium! Easy to install and you can make customization as it is open source and php based! It works very well for me!
