Routerboard RB493 running OS v5.2 (problem replicated with v5.5). The system is intended as a master router connected to a VSAT modem gateway. Access is via hotspot.
I am finding that when I generate a report in Userman with two dates entered, the report is blank i.e. only the column titles are shown. This regardless of the report settings.
We thought it might be to do with time synchronization, i.e. the router updates from an online NTP server, and as that takes some time (usually only a few seconds), it’s possible to get some session data logged with bad dates, exacerbated by satellite latency. However, on a newly configured system tested on an ADSL connection (not VSAT) I still could not generate any reported between two specific dates. We check the session data and remove any bad dates, and the problem is still there.
Meanwhile, if I don’t enter specific dates the reporting works and I can download a csv file and sort it in a spreadsheet program to get the data I need, but it is annoyingly time consuming.
Can anyone confirm that reports between two dates actually works? Any hint as to what is causing this would help.
