I would add a request for the UPS support modules:
Add a nut (http://www.networkupstools.org/) network client (and server in the best case scenario).
This would allow us to have a synchronized power status over several devices allowing safe reboots and shutdowns on power failures using a somehow standard protocol which is hardware independent and could be provided via a dedicated monitoring server to routers (and computers/servers as well).
