Reset button

Is there anyway that when you hit the reset button you can have the routerboard default back to some previous setting you want vs all the way back to factory default?

You can rewrite the factory settings, use Netinstall and specify a custom RSC config file. When you do that, next time reset will default to what was in the file.

xxx.rsc is a simple text file with commands inside.

So I got my rsc file I just cant figure out how to tell it to load it n the netinstall program. I went through the instructions but could not find anything.

Thanks

specify the *.rsc file in the “configure script” setting. there is a browse button next to it.

So I got to the point where the boards makes its sucess sound for several minutes. However after reboot. The rsc cfg is not on the mikrotik.

it is not suposed to be there. you will not see it. it is just inside the subsystem. you can’t really tell if the RSC was applied or not. only with system reset

Hello Normis I did it the way you said.

I doubled checked my rsc file and there are values in it.

I open netinstall get the routerboard to show up in there.

I start off with everything unchecked.

I check Configure script and select my rsc file.

I click install wont work unitl I select a package.

I select a package click install. Said it installed.

Reset to factory default system/reset but none of my settings show.

Thanks

Finally got it to take. I think the issue was I was using an RSC from a master router cfg trying to load it on this other router. Once I manually loaded the rsc then saved it off again from this router. i was then able to get it to take the rsc file and work.
