RESET OF USERNAME AND PASSWORD

HI ALL,

IN THE NEW SERIES (133) OF ROUTER BOARDS RESETING OF USERNAMES AND PASSWORDS USING JUMPER SETTINGS IS NOT DOING.
ANY SUGESSITION TO RESET THE ROUTER BAORDS USING JUMPER SETTINGS.?
ANOTHER THING IS WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOFT RESET AND HARD RESET??
PLEASE HELP ME.

You can’t reset password using jumpers.

Yes you can.
Short the s1 jumper. Power cycle the radio. On boot it will reset the software to the install and reboot again on its own. When it comes back up, move the jumper back and login with no password.

if i resset pasword and usern. using jumper will i screw all configuration of my internet,and will i could connect to the internet after reset pasword and username?THX

you need to re-apply the configuration manually. this is why it’s a good idea to make regular export and backup

But S1 is a button, not a jumper?

use what you see in the picture, S1 is wrong, the jumperhole doesn’t have a name

hi mates
i have a 433AH with 2 mini pci XR5 in an outdoor box that i installed it on top of a tower.
it’s under load and works for an ISP.

  • i cannot open the outdoor box of the routerboard.
  • i cannot power off it.
  • i cannot access it with winbox because i forgot the password :frowning:
    i have to change the frequency for better throughput.
    it’s force and most important for my company.
    so…what should i do ??
    is there any software for password recovery ??
    (i can connect to routerboard localy with laptop and cat5 cable with RJ45)
