Hello:
I can’t reset this router I use the normal reset method and I don’t see the ip 192.168.1.88.
is damaged?

What is “the normal reset”?
Is it presented as neighbour (how do you connect to the hAP ac)?
Why are there two MikroTiks, is the hAP ac still connected to the network?

If you plugged your PC to ETH1 this happens. ETH1 is the WAN-Port. Plug into ETH2… Happend to me before

Port eth2 after reset I get this

How are you attempting to reset the device?

While it shows a name, the device definitely isn’t reset.

Haven’t checked the YouTube link, here is the official explanation:

The method the video shows is the right one but your device is absolutely not reset. So I have to assume you’re not doing something right. Unplug the power adapter → press and hold the reset button → plug in the power adapter → keep holding the reset app until the user light flashes (I’d hold it a little longer). These are the same steps to reset just about every MikroTik device. Try again and make sure you’re following the instructions exactly.

I have more mikrotik equipment. This router was given to me with a power supply, I tried another source and reset. Curious.

As in the reset worked? Having a hard time deciphering that last message.

The device is probably resetted with the owner script HSC CD:FC:0E:A6:F0:D4

The error the user is getting is wrong username or password…
How he do not know username and password???

Probably the “HSC_CDFC0EA6F0D4” default script set the password for deny access to other, on own devices…

It is a router with an enterprise script. I have managed to reset, but something is wrong again. And I think the reset button no longer works. Well, I’ll ask them to change it. Thank you

Hello, I tried to reset my hAP2 ac2 router (power off, press reset button, power on, reset button is still pressed, usr led start blinking, reset button is released), but I have got strange result.
The hAP2 ac2 router is the second router in my home (the first one is Dlink)
After hAP2 ac2 reset the wi-fi from the router is not observed, the router default address 192.168.88.1 can’t be reached when connect with LAN cable to the second LAN port.
When I connect WAN cable(from the first router) to the first port and LAN(from my PC) to the second port I have Internet access on my PC and can access the first (Dlink) router It seems like the hAP2 ac2 works as a bridge, but can’t be accessed and reconfigured, additionally wifi is switched off and I can’t it turn on.

What is this strange “bridge mode” and how can I exit from it and have wifi working again.

P.S. There are four different scenarios when reset the router depends on the duration of pressing the reset button. Maybe I made something wrong at the first attempts of resetting the router.

In the WinBox Application I found my device with 0.0.0.0 IP address. It was configured to CAPsMAN mode by reset button (tricky reset button  ). So I reconfigured to Home AP mode by WinBox Application. Solved. Hope this info will help somebody. For Mikrotik tech writers: It is better to represent reset button information in the table manner, so it will be easier to understand what action cause the mode change pressing. Because it is not very clear after phrase “Or keep holding the button for 5 more seconds…” - I mean after what event it is expected to hold the button

Hello, today I have the same issue. After reseting to default my mikrotik HAP AC2, I cann’t access with the usual credential (admin with no pass) and get username and password error. Looking to the identity it is: HSC_E5780EFC4A71

As you, I can see a free wifi with captive portal sending me to maswifinegocios.com

Anyone knows the user and password?
