Hi all. I want to reset my mikrotik sxtsq 5 ac, but after i hold reset and plug the power, it still no reset. I tried to enter netinstall by press reset button for long, it only show blinking green led and still not detected by netinstall.
Maybe someone can help how to reset this routerboard
If it is your first attempt to use netinstall, expect all kinds of issues.
Do you have any management access to the device (winbox, webgui, telnet, mac-telnet, ssh…) or none at all?
I used netinstall on rb750 and haplite several times, all ok. but on this sxtsq, it’s very confusing.

my sxtsq was hacked by someone and the password has been changed. but when I try to reset, something like that happens. is there something wrong?
or is there a special way to reset this sxt series?

If the protected bootloader feature has been configured, you may have a really tough time to gain access.
If it wasn’t, I’ve seen that your wireless interfaces on the windows are just inactive, not disabled - but as you say you’ve used Netinstall before, I guess disabling them is necessary on your PC.
I think the routerboard is locked on bootloader. it is known from the led blink every second.
maybe there are suggestions or tutorials, how can I get access again, even though it takes time, I will try..

Well, the purpose of that measure is to make stolen units useless, making it useless to steal them. So definitely Mikrotik won’t give out any procedure how to circumvent it.
Well, that means I have to buy another one. And trash this routerboard. The routerboard price here is high. Sad…
