Revive a Brick

Hello
I have a 750GL that is driving me crazy.
I can neither connect and configure it NOR reset to factory defaults

I know the board is alive because i can see the dhcp requests from port 1 on wireshark(i’m using dhcp reserved static address) but i get no login page or anything when i try connect to that ip address, nor on the 2-5 ports trying 192.168.88.1 ?? In this instance no big deal , i’ll reset it to factory defaults, only i cant, or it wont
From the blurb ive read and video’s ive watched , i powered on the board while either holding the res switch in or shorting the pad on the motherboard BUT ..
In either instance the ACT/user led comes on, goes off, that’s it. It does not flash
I tried netinstall as per “https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIijZ6_i55g
NOPE

any suggestions
thanks

Did you change the default ports by chance? Watch the traffic to see what IP it gets, then nmap that IP.

I’ve saved a few devices using mac-telnet. You would have to attach the “brick” to your network using it’s LAN interface because the mac-server isn’t set up on the WAN port by default.

If you don’t have another Mikrotik to do /tool mac-telnet , you can find mac-telnet software online and compile it on Linux. It works in my experience.

Hopefully your device is listening for mac-telnet.

Hi thanks for that
I’v never heard of mac-telnet and will definitely be giving it a try
