Hi
I’ve been on these forums for a long time reading but not asking - until now.
I have a question relating to the Mikrotik Bandwidth Test Server - port 2000
An ISP i look after is blocking this port and i can’t do a point to point test as the traffic on this port is being dropped by order of the country’s the government.
If i were NATing this i’d dst NAT it but i don’t kknow if it’s possible to rewrite this port when leaving the Mikrotik?
Any advice greatly appreciated. Apologies if this has been asked before somewhere.
Maybe I’m missing something (because I cannot believe this would not have been noticed by now), but I think you’ve found a bug.
Tools / btest-server allows you to select a set of ports other than the default 2000-2100, which would normally address your issue. However, I can find no provision to make bandwidth-test on the other side actually use the non-default port range! I have confirmed that setting btest-server to the same range on that side doesn’t inform bandwidth-test to use the same port ranges outbound.
I would report this to support@mikrotik.com as a bug. Let us know what response you receive.
