Rf link for 40 kms

We have a proposal for Rf connectivity between 40 kms. the required bandwidth is min 10 mbps. So friends pls help me in choosing the right product that should meet my requirement. I’m very much pleased with u. Please provide the details such as

  1. Routerboard type
  2. Wireless mini Pci
  3. Antenna type and Brand
  4. Finally the best configuration in achieving the bandwidth.

Hoping to get your support at the earliest

Regards,

Most anything mikrotik equipment will do that bandwidth these days. The biggest problem that most people ignore is the Freshen zone. Mess with it and you will get a great signal , but horrible throughput. This was not calculated, bit of thump suck, but on 40 km you would need about 150m height on one side, or 75 meter on each side to not interfere with Freshen and get max throughput. My preferences. Would go for a 32db grid dish or if the tower allow the windload, a solid dish and if lots of radio equipment on tower, ad RF Shield to dish. RouterBoard 433AH with Mikrotik R52Hn MMCX MiniPCI Card.

why use 2 pieces of hardware instead of one? Use Rb711-5hn, cheaper, more reliable and just one piece. A faster cpu won’t help you for a ptp link.

I can not agree with this. Check please check how TCP throughput is scalable with CPU.

Back to topic:
You will need good dish-type antennas. Maybe you can try grid’s, but I’m afraid that result will be worst than with dishes.
If I have to make such link, I will use
Jirous 32dB

or
DISHETER DUO28 BOX

Foar a card:
DBII F52N Pro

or
SR71-A

And for the board I will use RB411AH

sitesurvey details

  1. The site with 110 m elevation has 27 meter tower from the ground

2.The site with 74 m elevation has 33 meter tower from the ground

Here with i have enclosed the sitesurvey details of the proposed project with tower height. I’m not much familiar with fresnal zone but aware of that. So friends pls analyse and give me the suggestions and

is it really feasible to establish the link

Use http://www.ligowave.com/linkcalc/ which is free, to calculate fresnel zone clearance and estimated signal levels and fade margin

OK you have fresnel zone issue with vertical try horizontal polarization and in most cases TX power should be 25dbm
