I saw my router with 100% cpu load, though it was hacked. made some changes in the services configuration and after then turned off the router.
i tried to reset using the Reset button, following youtube, pdf, forum and the user manual instructions
step 1: turn off
step 2: hold reset button,
step 3: connect the power
then the ACT LED just goes off and nothing happend.
i took off the rubber and tried to use the screwdriver to reset it through the metal contacts, but in the end. I opened the case and connect used a little piece of aluminum foil to connect then, ACT LED keeps on for 10 mins and nothing happend.
when i connect my pc to the router, led goes on, but dhcp doesnt give me an ip. so it goes 169.xx.xx.xx
i open winbox trying to find the router through the MAC ADDRESS… nothing in the list. also tried to manually put 192.168.88.100 and tried to connect to the default ip 192.168.88.1 , nothing happends
tried the netinstall, but no router in the list.
is this dead? i already replace it with another rg750. with the hope to save this one, because of the gigaethernet. Any idea what happended? hacked? dead? or am i missing something?
