I never used Mikrotik before. But I am looking for the right router to run a little WISP. The router should handle max 200-300 PPOE clients.
I think the right choise could be the Routerboard 1200 or 1100AH.
- Sadly I not find many informations how many ADSL Modem I can connect to the Routerboard and split my PPOE clients to the different lines.
- As well I would like to logg connection data for a couple of days (e.g. 7 days) for legal restrictions
- Last I thought that I maybe like to create a bonding between my ADSL Modems and a server based in the internet, I am not sure if that is possible
Check the license page for the max pppoe connections.
You can connect as many modems as there are ports on the router.
You can log to any remote syslog and log whatever you want. Where are you located that legally requires you to keep logs for 7 days?
you can bond your dsl modems IF your ISP provides that service. Otherwise, you can do load balancing / PCC on them.
