Hello,
Apologies on the subject description!
I am using RIP to route loopback addresses of a bunch of routers that are running MPLS. This has been working perfectly for a while now.
I just added another router to the system, and added a /32 loopback address to it. I then noticed on neighbouring routers, the route came up ok as a /32 but also as a /29???
If I remove the loopback address, both routes dis-appear after RIP times out. Its not operationally effecting the system, just seems very odd that its generating two routes…
I have noticed that “some” other routers loopback addresses are also generating a /32 and /29.
Is there any reason for this?
Cheers,
Andy.
