what kind of the RF45 serial port on RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN ?
I try to use straight and cross rj45 cable and connected to rj45 to serial converter; but none of them give me the response.
Is there any special things for this ?

I just make that cable.. so 1-8 connected to 8-1 at the other end
one end connected to rb2011, another end connected to rj45 2 db9 terminal adapter
but still no response on my terminal.
the rj45 2 db9 terminal adapter pinouts are as follow :
RTS 1 -------------------- 8 CTS
DTR 2 -------------------- 1 DSR
TxD 3 -------------------- 2 RxD
GND 4 -------------------- 5 GND
GND 5 -------------------- NC
RxD 6 -------------------- 3 TxD
DSR 7 -------------------- 4 DTR
CTS 8 -------------------- 7 RTS
is there something wrong ?

you only need tx, rx, and common. no flow control. period. set baud to 115200.

i’m using older cisco DB9F/RJ45F adapter with the “rolled” blue RJ45M/RJ45M cable. what is posted above will work. it is a null modem configuration - tx to rx, rx to tx.

I’m Trying to connect as terminal client on the rb2011 to a device that normally requires a null modem to db9 connector and a cisco console cable factory made rj45 to db9 is not working. how would I pinout a cable to make this work?
