Roadmap for ROS?
What decides when a version is finished to be releases? -OR when it is time to start a new one, e.g. from 7.14.3 to V7.15.x to 7.16.x
Sorry, for me it looks mostly random?
Are there generally such roadmaps public available for any operating system?
well, yes there are for other operating systems.
It certainly is. Even without roadmap MT could outline the new features and important fixes in addition to the plain changelog. But they don’t do that. In RC phase they could at least say: “we fix bug x and y and then we release.”. Sometimes they do say “we know about bug z but it’s fixed in upcoming release”
Its random to us because they dont make their roadmap public.
