I am looking to put up a new ptp with 411’s sr71-15’s and my question is if you can use the rocket dish antenna’s and achieve good results. They are so much cheaper but are they any good?
Im going to be using mimo, and I don’t plan on doing dual nstreme
Anyone tried using the rocket dish with a tik? what was your results? what coax did you use?
Thanks,
Josh
We have on several links - we put domes on them though (wind loading)
To date we have been really impressed with them - using LMR200 flyleads about 80cm long, SMA to N-male (straight to pigtail on enclosure) we have a 46km link with R52N (power turned down to 16db) and we get -71 / -73 on that link - passing 28mbit TCP
They have really solid mounting brackets, but the stainless bolts lock up after a while, so it pays to cover them with a protective silicone spray, or something similar
This is our experience, for what its worth
using rb411+r52hn+rocket dish link = 11 km with obstacle in fresnel areea i get 62db on both sides and 125 mbps udp using rocketdish pigtails.
Awesome Thanks for the info!!! Wanted to make sure it would work before I pulled the trigger
40 km link, rb433, r52Hn, 50 cm CDF200, 30 dBi rocket dish. TCP 90 Mbit (ping <10ms), UDP 110Mbit, signal -68.
