RoMON connection failed

Hi there,

My current network setup involves a CRS125-24G that is connected via a Bonding interface with a RB2011UiAS. On the RB2011 port 10 i have a 750GL that serves mainly as a port extender on my office desk so i have access to some (configurable) ethernet ports for testing setups.

CRS125 [ Ports 7&8 ] => [ Ports 1&2, PoE-IN ] RB2011 [ Port 10 for PoE-OUT]=> [Port 1 for PoE-IN] RB750GL

later i am planning to set up the link between the RB2011 and RB750 GL also as a bonding interface, but for simplicity (and PoE - this way the whole chain is powered by my UPS) i let it like this - should not change anything on my problem.

The Thing here is, that i am currently doing all my configuration by either conneting directely to the CRS125 (VLAN, DHCP, Firewall, Routing, all is handled by that device) or jumping from it to the RB2011 via RoMON. I have also RoMON enabled on the RB750GL, it is discovered by the RB2011 in the Neighbour-scan and i get it shown in the List of possible RoMON partners if i connect to the CRS125 via RoMON.

But as when i want to connect directely to the RB750GL via RoMON i only get an Error in Winbox:

Error: could not start romon connection.

From that point im a bit stuck and dont know how to solve this. I would really appreciate if someone could point me in a direction how to solve or even analyze this problem.

Thanks in Advance!

Which RouterOS versions do these devices have? Are their firmware up to date? (System > Routerboard)

I updated the CRS125 and the RB2011 to 6.34 yesterday while the RB750 is still on 6.33.3. Suddenly the connection worked (but the thread was not accepted to the forum yet and i couldnt report back). I will update the RB750 as soon as i got it configured and see if it stays like that but maybe it was just a bug that was keeping me from connecting.

So now all i need is mikrotik to release the hap ac so i can extend my Wifi to AC and im fine - but thanks for helping anyways!
