RoS 3.0rc2 Encryption Problem - PPTP Connections

I have been experiancing an occaisional issue with PPTP connections from windows hosts, I can establish a tunnel and and pass traffic but it will not work if I leave the windows encryption settings at default. I have to reconfigure the VPN dialer to use optional encryption, which then defaults to no encryption. On the RB532 running 2.9.43 this has never been an issue. The Error Code that DUN responds with is: Error: 743 The Server Does Not Support The Required Encryption.

Any suggestions on what may be causing this.

check your policy settings maybe you have default not default-encryption set as a profile

please send a supout.rif file to support, we will check what’s wrong

Sorry about the delay, but I’ve found out what was causing the issue at least superficially. When ever MSCHAP 2 was selected, tunnel would not connect and I would get the same error. However if I removed the MSCHAP 2 option from both ends of the link the tunnel would establish and work.

I will try and duplicate this issue and send a supout.rif file.
