ROS 3.X on RB333, rebooting it self

Hi,
my RB333 is still rebooting by it self. In log there is only this message “router was rebooted without proper shutdown”. I have upgraded it to ROS 3.0 RC10 but this problem was not solved. RB333 is powered over active poe 12V output and has only two R52 cards.

thank you

Hi,try with 18V POE. 12V POE is too low voltage if you use eth. cable longer like 10m

that cable is about 90 meters long but my POE is active, that means over cable is transmited 48V and at the end there is a splitter which reduces this voltage to 12V so between RB333 and power output is 0m long cable.

Maybe something wrong with this active POE, check RB with regular PSU feed power via POE or Jack

i can try to use passive poe 24V

Hi

I seem to be having the same problem. Reboots every time. Doubt if its a power issue. POE cable is about 5 meters. Really anoying. Also have two R52 mini pci cards. tried upgrading firmeware no luck.

Thanks

can you all please send supout.rif file to support? make the files after the reboot

HI

After a long struggle i took the board back to supplier and they gave me a new one. will ask supplier to forward .rif file though.

Thanks

I was struggling with an RB333 rebooting every now and then without reason. Sent an autosupout.rif to support and Normis told me to upgrade to latest release candidate and upgrade BIOS to latest version.
That seemed to do the trick. When I put it down for maintenance this afternoon it had been running for 5 1/2 day without rebooting, that’s new all-time-high and nearly double as long as #2, which is almost 3 days.

So try to upgrade,guys.

Considering power, the standard 18V power should be sufficient for the 333 with 3xR52’s?

I have same problem, RB333 is rebooting it self. any solution for this?

I got the same problem with ‘some’ of my RB 333, everytime i changed setting, the RB reboot itself after the changes were applied.
It happened ONLY when using winbox. it’s fine with telnet.
Using 18V adaptor with NMP8602 mPCI, firmware upgraded to RC10 & RC11, from its standard RC4.
