I use R2N and ROS 5 (beta and RC1,2,3) as AP bridge for indoor office and it has clients more than 28 pcs and notebooks.
The environment : mode : b/g (not N), Mount Ceiling Antenna (3db)
The problems we got:
- When total client reaches 28 clients.. and then within 2-3 hours connected with AP, with 20mbps total traffic and for about 500pps, the latency become high and it reaches for about 9000ms. and it oftenly cut off the connection because it is too slow.
It is occurs when peak time from 8am to 5pm, and after no body use the AP, the latency drop to 1-20ms - When peak time, After disconnected from AP, users not able to reconnect to this Access Point.
- Virtual AP also did not work when client connected more than 28 clients
I believe there is something wrong with ROS 5 with R2N when being used for multiple point.
Downgrade to Version 4.11 is the solution. But so far we know 4.11 doesn’t support multi VAP and mode N very well.
we need multi VAP (at lease 2 VAPS) and N mode.
Anybody has the same experiences with me?
