please tell us how did you made the upgrade.
What packages you had on v5.25 and did you have RouterOS bundle packages on the router or individual packages?
What packages you used for upgrade to v6.0?
As in topic subject, I had RC14 and standard packages + userman
I updated remotly via webfig.
1st router reboot and had only 4 packages
system, wireless, dhcp, ipv6 if I remember good
then I added manually missing packages and right now RB450G is totaly dead, mean I can hear some “brbrbrbrbeep” (new symptom) … “beeeep” (as in normal booting) then interfaces start to blink and keep blinking on orange led and nothing else happen
Should I made some recovery in this case ?
I will really apreciate fast support, thanks in advance.
standard I mean all what is include in the brand new RB450G and later I always made updates with routeros-mipsbe-6.0rc14.npk + userman from all packages added separately.
after missing packages I’ve uploaded routing, tools, ntp, ppp, and as test openflow because wasn’t sure it was there before
hmm after while I am not sure if that was default packages let me list it from memory: (dont have RC14 on this pc so is just example)
advanced-tools-6.0rc12-mipsbe
dhcp-6.0rc12-mipsbe
hotspot-6.0rc12-mipsbe
ipv6-6.0rc12-mipsbe
mpls-6.0rc12-mipsbe
ppp-6.0rc12-mipsbe
routing-6.0rc12-mipsbe
system-6.0rc12-mipsbe
wireless-6.0rc12-mipsbe
user-manager-6.0rc12-mipsbe
and for this I am not sure:
security-6.0rc12-mipsbe
openflow-6.0rc12-mipsbe
ntp-6.0rc12-mipsbe
mpls-6.0rc12-mipsbe
btw normaly was like beep then short wait and bep bep and RB was accesible and started works fine, now after first beeep nothing happen, RB is not accesible
Bringed RB back to life with clean netinstall, now will try to add same packages xD
added all packages as before and works fine. Now will try bring back my config
RB is working fine again, also I noticed fixed PCQ src/dst for pppoe dynamicy assigned by userman, now counting good pcq queues for up and down
If I may advice, in general clean instalation give more benefits than just update (in my case).
