since ROS 6.28 my non-Windows devices cannot connect with OpenVPN to my MT router anymore. The problem is that in ROS 6.28 the OpenVPN service sends the new option “topology=p2p” to the client.
This option is not supported on non-Windows devices, see https://community.openvpn.net/openvpn/wiki/Topology
When i downgrade to ROS 6.27, all is working fine.
Is this a Bug in v6.28 or by design and if the last, how can i change “topology” option to “subnet” ?
And I had a same issue right now.
I use Android OpenVPN client connect to my router (which is RB2011UiAS)
After updated to 6.28, my phone (HTC One M8) can’t connect VPN and gave me this message:

Does anyone had same issue? Or any solutions?
After upgrading to RoS 6.28 on my RB2011 (where Open VPN server is located) if I try to connect with an android client (“OpenVPN Connect” on a Samsung Galaxy SM-G7102 running Android 4.3) I get the following:-
“Tun interface setup failed:
option_error: only topology ‘subnet’
and ‘net30’ supported”
Have not tried any Windows devices as clients, but I have used another Mikrotik router and it’s client does connect OK.
I too have downgraded to RoS 6.27 and all is working once more. RoS 6.27 was working fine anyway, but it will be good if this can be fixed.
I ran into the same problem. Couldn’t solve it at first. Then figured out, that all I needed to do, was set the Netmask in the OVPN Server settings to 30 or 31 instead of 32. Works like a charm then. This is in 6.34.3.
