Per subject line. ROS v6.15 - 6.35.4 works fine with Jetpack 7730 tethered via USB, v6.36+ fails to assign LTE interface but Jetpack is seen correctly in Resources>>USB. Also tried 6.43rc64.
I would be fine running 6.35 to regain this functionality, but the new RB 951 I bought to replace a 750 damaged by a nearby lightning strike won’t accept a downgrade to that version as it came pre-loaded with 6.40.8.
This could be easy to fix - just take a look at the (lte) changes you made in 6.36 vs. 6.35.
Hoping for a solution. I now no longer have backup hardware for this particular site at which LTE is the only option for a small wired/wireless office network.
So, is anybody at Mikrotik going to address and fix this? It’s quite obviously a problem that was introduced in firmware, which means I can’t configure my way out of it on my end.
Did you ever find a solution for this problem? I’m attempting to connect my AT&T Elevate via USB to my router and I’m getting the same symptoms. It will recognize the mobile hotspot but the hotspot will get stuck in a loop of connecting and reconnecting to cellular network. I have an LTE hotspot with great reception but if I disable 3G and GSM in RouterOS(leaving LTE enabled) it won’t connect to the hotspot anymore.
I’ve been pulling my hair out over this all day. Can you point me in the right direction?
