Hey,
I’ve been trying to set up my old hAP AC2 as a wireless repeater for a new AX2. I previously tried this with an AC3 I borrowed from work, and everything connected just fine.
Both are running 7.15.3: The AX2 is using the wifi-qcom package, and the AC2 is using the wifi-qcom-ac.
During setup I have the AC2 connected via ethernet. Starting from a blank config, I add all interfaces to a bridge with default settings, add a dhcp client setup to get an IP from the AX2, then configure the two wifi interfaces. Wifi1 (2.4GHz) is controlled by CAPsMAN on the AX2, providing it a matching SSID. I’m intending to use Wifi2 (5GHz) as the bridge interface, but no matter what settings I use, the status always stays on searching, despite the SSID being visible scanning on that interface.
Previously using an AC3 and the old wireless package, I had no issues getting a connection in station pseudobridge mode, but on the new packages on these devices it just refuses to connect in station, station bridge and stations pseudobridge modes. Is this just a limitation of the AC2?
