ROS answers to wrong ping?!

Hi,

I use a hotspot in the network range of 172.28.64.XX/32 and have a W2k3 R2 in a network of 10.10.XX.XX/16.

If I pring from a clint for example 10.10.10.46 to my W2k3 (10.10.10.254) I get a response from my ROS (172.28.64.1).
This doesn’t make sense to my, because the ROS is in a complete different network (they are only linked physically).

How can I stop the ROS to do anything in the 10.10.xx.xx net, this makes a (extrem) instabil connectivity between the clients and the w2k3.

The ROS is the only DHCP in my infrastructure, the 10.10.-net has static IPs.

Do a trace route (tracert command-line utility in Windows) to that host and see how the traffic is flowing/hopping through the routers.

It’s possible that you’re masquerading LAN network ranges too, instead of routing to them.
Could you perhaps post your configuration (and remember to hide the sensitive information).
