Planning to downgrade ROS 6.42.12 to 6.42.6. My router’s firmware is on version 6.42.12. Do I need to downgrade the firmware as well? If so, how can I achieve that?
No, firmware is completely separate and it doesn’t conflict with RouterOS.
However, I must warn you, there are several important vulnerabilities in that older RouterOS version, I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST DOWNGRADE
