Hi, how critical is this update? I’ve 3 MKT as small DNS servers.
It would be nice if more information were published (in changelog or forum) about updates.
Regards, Ale.

3.26 has huge memory leak (there were posts about hundreds megabytes of memory per a few hours)
Brother, trust me, you WANT this upgrade. My memory leak is totally cleared up now. If for no other reason than to clear up any memory leak, you should upgrade.

It totally justifies it. Upgrade 3.26 to 3.27 right away! If you have 3.25 or other - upggrade early in the morning like 04:30 when service usage is minimal.
I’m not “seeing” any problems and I haven’t got any calls but I’m not using mikrotik at the gateway only in my access points. But many of my access points route from their ethernet (backhaul) to subnets assigned to their wlan anlong with a dhcp server.
I will nontheless upgrade but I’m wondering if this issue would affect me anyway so perhaps I should upgade before the early morning slow down ?
Any thoughts?
I saw a problem with 3.26 in DNS. If you have DNS server on it or transparent DNS proxy, you need the update. If no DNS server at all - maybe you can just upload the packages and leave them for the MT to update at an unknown time, whenever power goes down + up / reboots due some reason.. in the future. And in the meantime keep an eye on how much memory is used , and CPU, if it goes too high for too long - there is a problem/memory leak…
Ok thanks that was my plan.
I checked memory-cpu before I posted and I was not seeing a problem.
Cheers
i have RB433AH with 3.24 … now can any one advice how can proceed with update… 3.25, 3.26 and 3.27 or direct 3.27
Try direct, yes.
I have now had an access point stop passing traffic .
I thought it was client radio at first.
Rebooted the Mikrotik AP and still nothing.
Memory and cpu were normal.
Upgraded to 3.27 everything is working fine now.
I’m going to have to implement a mid day upgrade…nasty.
We just noticed at least 3 rb433 with ROS 3.27 with massive memory leak. Sent supout to tech support. Will update if that is true.
What packages installed? Which features active?
I stick to 3.24
So far so good with 3.27 for me.
InoX,
I am not too sure about 3.24 either. I saw leak in 3.24, so I upgraded to 3.27 hopping that it will resolve the memory leak issue. Please see attached 3.24 memory leak just after 1 day on a rb433.
Sans.
