i’ve upgraded a 60 wireless bridges from 3.6 and 3.7 to 3.8
and now what? day after is 3.9 and again upgrade all
tired mt user ![]()
Just an advice :
Try to wait few days before upgrade one version and check forms for feedback… It’s How I do that …
Do immediate upgrade only if you are experiencing issues with that version of ROS, if everything is fine up 'n running, just wait for few days and see if someone is reporting any problem, this is to be at the safe side.
If some people need to upgrade, they will. They report their findings and that’s their way of contributing to the MT community. I contribute advice in other ways.
I don’t have an immediate need to upgrade, so I’ll sit back and wait for a week (or longer) of experience before loading a new version. I don’t have time to use and test every single version.
and now what ? should we upgrade or what ?
why dont MT have some beta-testers ? instead of reaching the end of the license ( V 4 ) , a road full of errors and bugs ..
You could even ONLY upgrade if you are experiencing issues, or need a new feature.
I’ve been upgrading faithfully since my first MT router but suspect I could still be running 2.9.27 on it without any problems and not noticing the lack of anything I have with 2.9.51, while any upgrade runs some risk of turning the whole thing to custard.
Oh, and as my only two attempts to upgrade from v2 to v3 did turn to custard I’m going to leave that a whole lot longer yet.
Thereagain I’m still using Windows 2000 Pro instead of a shiny new Vista. Ol’ stick-in-the-mud, me.
