Anyone running ros5.12 on a heavilly loaded PPPoE server? We are seeing issues where clients say they are connected but cannot move traffic. Mikrotik PPPoE clients work fine but Linksys etc PPPoE clients say they are connected but cannot browse. Downgrading too 5.11 brought them all back.
Another issue on both routeros releases we are seeing is this:
pppoe,ppp,info,account XXXXXX logged in, 0.0.0.0
pppoe, ppp, info : could not determine remote address, using 10.112.114.103
pppoe,ppp,info : connected
When rebooting a router we will see a large number of users assigned 0.0.0.0 as an IP address. Bump them offline causes them return with a valid IP. Seeing other users on forum report this as well. Perhaps there needs to be a cap on the number of PPPoE authenticaion threads to slow the requests down at start up? I am guessing it is due to so many requests coming in at once?
