Route OSPF error: Discarding packets

Hi guys
Please I have been seeing this error message on some of my routers:

Route OSPF error: Discarding packets: locally originated src-address=10.x.x.x (one of the routers IP address)

Please what could be the cause of the problem.

If you are running v5 and have simple queues this error may appear. It is fixed in v6.

Thanks mrz
It is true that my routers are on v5.2x but I don’t have queues in place on any of the routers.
The only router that has simple queues is not running ospf, its on static routing and as such its not giving that error.

I will try V6 and see if that will resolve the problem.
Thanks

Then you have a routing loop, or you have multiple interfaces connected to the same routers and on all of them OSPF is set up.

I see the same problem for a month now and didn’t see it before 5.18. No topology has changed.

+1
I can see this error on 5.24.
My topology prevent routing loops at all.

My topology is basically star and has grown to a tree-like structure.
I mean some routers in the star stucrure now has some routers connected to them.
The routes are quite clear and I see no reason why I should have loops.
I have upgraded to V6 but yet, the problem still persist.

i have the same problem too..
help please.. :frowning:
route ospf error.jpg

Anything new on this? 8 lines of ospf errors per 3 seconds in log. Nothing changed no new routers or rules added.

On another topic, I don’t remember where, I read that this problem could be related to designated router decisions…
I’ve changed priority on routers with this error some days ago and errors disappeared…

RouterOS 5.x (some 5.22, 5.24 and 5.25)

I can confirm this. Also got confirmation from Mikrotik support. It’s a bug and it will be fixed in future version, but they did not say if it’s going to be fixed in RoS 5.

Is this an error?? To a have two routers connected with two differents interface for backup??
