Router Board 133 error

Hello to all.
Urgen help is needed!!!

I have RB 133 - 3 wireless + 3 ether

I had version 2.9.50 and i try to upgrade to version 2.9.51
So … I download from mikrotik.com page all_packages-ns-2.9.51.zip and
extract it and upload to routerboard
After restart router beep only once and i cant access to it right now
I try to use null modem serial cable and when i connect over Hyperterminal shows me like this:

Press any key within 2 seconds to enter setup..
loading kernel from nand… OK
setting up elf image… OK
jumping to kernel code
System halted.

When i try to press any key…nothing happend :frowning:

Question is is there any chance to fix this and how?

not sure why this happened, but you need to reinstall the system. the packages you already have, you need to get the Netinstall program from here: http://www.mikrotik.com/download/netinstall-3.11.zip

and then follow guide here:

The main proble is, that i cant access Routerboard BIOS Configuration
What ever I do on begin, I always get same

Press any key within 2 seconds to enter setup..

System halted.

I can’t enter setup…

did you try pressing some keys when it starts booting :slight_smile: ?

Yes i try all of them, all ways. One by one and all. I almost crash my keyboard :slight_smile:
I need this RB really bad so please help me if you can.

I have the same problem, I have tried reseting it via S1 button, Nothing will get me into setup. It ignores the key strokes and continues to boot, then getting the system halt message. Mine is on ric 522 using a 532 board,
Any ideas ?

Before some time i have similar problem with Linksys AP, but they have solution with JTAG cable.
I hope there is similar solution with Mikrotik to???

I solved the problem!!! :smiley:
The problem was in communication between the PC and Mikrotik.
The problem was in communication between PC and mikrotik, serial port.
I resolved when I connect to the third PC.
After that, everything worked perfect. I followed instructions from mikrotik site.
